Partnering with One Young World, a renowned platform for young leaders, Holcim aims to empower a select cohort of individuals to make a tangible impact on the world stage.
Building Tomorrow Scholarship Overview
Through a series of real-world case studies, virtual reality experiences, and engaging conversations led by industry experts, the scholarship program seeks to broaden the discourse on AI and its potential applications in promoting sustainability and urban resilience.
Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, Holcim and One Young World aim to catalyze positive change and shape a more sustainable future.
Benefits
The Building Tomorrow Scholarship 2024 offers amazing benefit opportunities for five (5) young leaders to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024, to be held in Montréal, Canada. The scholarship covers various aspects to ensure a fulfilling and enriching experience for its recipients:
- Access to the One Young World Summit: Scholars will have the privilege of attending the prestigious One Young World Summit, scheduled to take place from 18th to 21st September 2024 in Montréal.
- Hotel Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided in Montréal from 17th to 22nd October 2024, ensuring comfort and convenience throughout the summit.
- Travel Expenses: Scholars will receive economy-class travel arrangements to and from Montréal, alleviating financial burdens and facilitating participation.
- Meals and Ground Transport: All meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner on conference days, will be covered. Additionally, ground transport necessary for attending summit activities will be arranged as needed.
- Pre-Programme in Montréal: Before the summit, scholars will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-programme in Montréal. Offering valuable networking and learning opportunities.
- Building Tomorrow Scholarship recipients will also gain access to the extensive Holcim community. Which enables them to forge meaningful connections, exchange ideas, and collaborate with like-minded Changemakers.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Building Tomorrow Scholarship 2024, candidates must meet the conditions below:
- Age: Applicants must be aged between 18 and 30 years old, reflecting the program’s focus on nurturing young leaders.
- Impact Areas: Candidates should demonstrate a positive impact in one of the scholarship’s three focus areas:
- Deploying AI technologies for sustainable construction.
- Employing AI solutions for urban resilience.
- Responsible deployment of artificial intelligence in urban development.
