Scholarship Details

The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving freshmen from ASEAN member countries (excluding Singapore) who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a strong record in co-curricular activities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the NUS 2025 ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an ASEAN country (excluding Singapore).
  • Have excellent academic results from high school or equivalent institutions.
  • Show leadership potential and strong involvement in co-curricular activities.
  • Apply for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS.
  • Not be a transfer applicant from another university (local or overseas).

ASEAN Member Countries:

Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship will receive:

  • Full tuition fee coverage for subsidised undergraduate studies (requires acceptance of MOE Tuition Grant).
  • S$5,800 living allowance per year.
  • S$1,750 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment.
  • S$3,000 annual accommodation allowance.

Application Process

You do not need to apply separately for the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship. All eligible students who apply for undergraduate admission to NUS will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
