What You Get

Eligibility Criteria
You must:
- Be a citizen of Nigeria
- Be classified as an overseas student (not a UK or EU fee payer)
- Have an unconditional or conditional offer for a full-time eligible Master’s degree at Sussex starting September 2025
- Be self-funding your education (i.e., not sponsored by a government or organisation)

- At the University of Sussex Business School, you can combine this with the Business School International Master’s Award
- The School of Engineering & Informatics, you can combine it with the Engineering & Informatics International Master’s Award
Who Is Not Eligible
You cannot get this scholarship if:
- You are fully sponsored by an organisation that pays your tuition
- You are progressing from the University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC)
- You are enrolling in any of the following courses:
- Certificates or Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS)
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Social Work degrees (if receiving NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- School Direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by UK research councils (e.g. ESRC)
You also cannot combine this scholarship with other University of Sussex scholarships (like the Chancellor’s International Scholarship).

How to Apply
- Apply for a full-time Master’s course at the University of Sussex for the September 2025 intake.
