Hauwa Ojeifo is a powerful force for mental health advocacy in Nigeria. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD, she founded She Writes Woman, a movement empowering people with mental health conditions to share their stories and demand systemic change.
Her Impact Includes:
- Launching Nigeria’s first 24/7 toll-free mental health helpline
- Building an online support community of over 2,000 members
- Leading advocacy workshops on human rights and disability law

Eligibility Criteria for One Young World Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship 2025
You can apply if you:
- Are aged 18 to 30 (older applicants considered with strong impact stories)
- Live and work in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East
- Are leading or actively involved in an impactful initiative or organization
- Are addressing at least one of the following focus areas:
