Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of any country except Singapore
- Apply for a full-time undergraduate program at NUS
- Demonstrate strong leadership potential and exceptional co-curricular achievements
- Have outstanding academic results from high school
- Not be a transfer student from another local or overseas university
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the scholarship will receive the following:
- Full tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant is applied)
- S$5,800 annual living allowance
- S$5,000 annual accommodation allowance
- S$1,750 one-time computer allowance upon enrollment
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship is for incoming freshmen enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs, including Joint and Double Degrees.
- For Concurrent Degree Programmes, it only covers the undergraduate portion.
- Not valid for students in the Concurrent Degree Programme with the University of Melbourne’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
- Recipients must accept the MOE Tuition Grant, which comes with a 3-year work bond at a Singapore-registered company for international students and Singapore Permanent Residents.
- Medicine and Dentistry scholars are subject to an additional 5-6 year service bond with the Ministry of Health.
- No concurrent scholarships or funding are allowed without NUS approval.
- Scholarship renewal is semester-based, contingent on maintaining:
- GPA ≥ 3.5 (or top 80% in Dentistry, Law, Medicine)
- Good conduct
- NUS does not guarantee employment after graduation.
- If a student withdraws or terminates the scholarship early, they may be required to repay all received funds.

No separate application is needed. All eligible international students applying for undergraduate admission to NUS will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
