Applications are now open for the Young Leaders Fellowship 2023.This Program is a special leadership opportunity designed for young persons from around the world from the ages of 18 to 26 years, who wish to address community projects in education, health, and security.
MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023
The Young Leaders Fellowship is a year-long program aimed at preparing young people to become leaders of change in their communities through leadership development, global citizenship, self-awareness, and vision planning.
About MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023
The Fellowship starts with the Community Needs Assessment for a period of one-month. This is the community needs mapping that prepares young people, to understand their local communities better.
Once the community needs assessment is carried out, the Young Leaders will be made to participate in a week-long intensive in-person training program that helps them become leaders of positive change in their communities.
Upon Successful completion of the in-person training program, participants return to their communities to spend ten months developing their action plans with virtual support from alumni mentors.

As an organization, it offers a Young Leaders Program and an Africa Program, which focuses on Oral Health Care and Community Development.
Benefits of MCW Young Leaders Fellowship Program
The following costs related to the program are covered by MCW:
- Thee will be provision for International Economy Flights for international participants
- Coverage for Domestic Economy flights for United States participants
- Fellows will be provided an Accommodation from the evening of July 10 – July 20, 2023
- Provision of three meals per day from July 11 – July 19, 2023
- Cost of Round Trip Travel from New York, New York to Burlington, Vermont will be covered
- Cost coverage for Public Transportation to/from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Airports
Cost not Covered by MCW
- Passport Fees
- Visa Fees
- Cist of travel to the airport, extra baggage fees, etc.
- Please note that MCW requires all accepted participants to pay a $100 deposit fee by February 10, 2023.
- Deposits made will be refunded to the participant in full on July 20, 2023, after successfully completing the in-person training programme of the Fellowship.
- The deposit made covers all costs MCW Global may incur should a participant cancel after March 1, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for MCW Young Leaders Fellowship Program
Young leaders are expected to:
- Show commitment to their community;
- Point out issues in their community in the areas of education, health, or economic security;
- Leaders must be between the ages of 18-26 at the start of the program (June 1, 2023);
- Good written and spoken of English
- Must be committed to doing the Community Needs Assessment in June, attending the 10-day in-person program in July, and spending the following year aiming to execute their community project;
- Leaders must have access to email and the internet to allow for consistent communication with the MCW Global Team and Young Leaders Fellowship alumni-mentor for the duration of the year-long program;
