Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand
- Be commencing studies in Semester 2 or Summer 2025
- Hold unconditional admission into one of the eligible courses
- Be a full fee-paying international student
- Not be a recipient of another La Trobe University scholarship
- Meet English language requirements and academic standards (minimum WAM of 70)
- Submit a written statement as part of the scholarship application
- Have passed La Trobe’s Genuine Student assessment, including financial capacity
Note: Permanent residents and humanitarian visa holders are not eligible.
Recipient Obligations
Successful recipients must:
- Commence studies in 2025 (deferrals to 2026 are not permitted)
- Accept their offer and pay the deposit by the stated deadline, or risk losing the scholarship
- Maintain full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress
- Participate in international scholarship events organized by the University
How It’s Paid
The scholarship is applied as a tuition fee discount, starting from the second semester of study. The value is credited automatically each semester, provided all academic and visa conditions are continuously met.
Failure to accept the offer and pay the deposit by the deadline will lead to the automatic cancellation of the scholarship.
