In partnership with the International Relations Committee, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP®) offers International ACS NSQIP Scholarships 2025 to three outstanding surgeons from outside the U.S. and Canada.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be graduates of medical schools.
  • Have completed all formal training (including fellowships and scholarships).
  • Have been in surgical practice, teaching, or research for at least one year at their intended permanent location.
  • Have no more than 35 years of surgical practice at the application deadline.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to surgical quality improvement.
  • Submit a fully completed online application form in English.
  • Provide detailed information about their work setting, patient population, participation in quality improvement activities, and career goals.
  • Submit three letters of recommendation, including one from the department chair of their hospital or a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons residing in their country.
