About the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship
The Commonwealth Startup Fellowship empowers early-stage entrepreneurs in low and middle-income Commonwealth nations with essential business skills, access to international networks, and strategic support. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, applicants must:
Academic & Citizenship Requirements:
- Be a graduate or higher
- Be a citizen or refugee of an eligible low/middle-income Commonwealth country
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
- Be fluent in English
- Must not have received a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the last five years
Startup-Specific Requirements:
- Be an active startup in operation for at least 6 months
- Must have a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype
- Show evidence of innovation (product, service, or market)
- Must have early traction, such as pre-sales, customer interest, or contracts
