Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the LKCMedicine Scholarship enjoy extensive financial and academic support throughout the five-year undergraduate Medicine programme, including:

  • Full coverage of subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant).
  • Living allowance of S$6,500 per academic year.
  • One-off computer allowance of S$2,000.
  • Year 5 overseas elective supported and funded by LKCMedicine.
  • Travel stipend of up to S$8,000 for the overseas elective.
  • Accommodation allowance of S$2,000/year for Year 1 and Year 2 (for students living in NTU halls of residence).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the LKCMedicine Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen.
  • Intend to pursue a full-time undergraduate Medicine programme at NTU.
  • Hold one of the following qualifications:
    • Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level
    • Diploma from a Singapore Polytechnic
    • NUS High School Diploma
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
  • Have demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
  • Exhibit excellence in community service, leadership, or sports.

How to Apply

Applicants must first apply for admission into the Medicine programme at NTU before applying for the scholarship.

Step-by-Step Application Process:

  1. Submit an admission application to NTU.
  2. After applying, access the ‘Application for Scholarship’ link using your application number.
  3. Complete the scholarship application form, which includes a personal essay (max 250 words) on a compulsory topic.
  4. Upload a passport-size digital photo.
  5. Submit a referee appraisal:
    • Your school teacher (not a relative) must complete an online appraisal form.
    • You will receive a unique URL to share with your teacher after submitting your application.
    • Your teacher should complete and submit the appraisal within 7 days (or preferably within 2 weeks) of your application.

Note: If you already hold a reserved place at LKCMedicine, there’s no need to apply for this scholarship separately. You will be automatically considered.

Selection and Interview Process

There is no separate interview for the scholarship. Instead, your:

  • Application for admission,
  • Performance in the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) for NTU Medicine,

…will be taken into account during the scholarship selection process.

If selected, candidates will receive both their admissions and scholarship offer simultaneously.
