Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Kupe Leadership Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Residency: Have lived in New Zealand for at least 5 of the past 10 years
- Academic Enrollment: Must be intending to study full-time for one of the following at the University of Auckland:
- Master’s degree (any field)
- Postgraduate bachelor’s (honours) degree
- Final year of an undergraduate honours degree
- Postgraduate diploma
- Graduate Diplomas in Teaching (Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary)
- Academic Achievement:
- Minimum GPA/GPE of 7.00 (out of 9.00)
- Māori and Pacific applicants may qualify with a GPA/GPE of 6.00
Applicants enrolled in a master’s programme over 120 points may be considered in any year of study.
