Harvard Du Bois Fellows Program Overview

The Du Bois Fellows Program is the oldest fellowship program of the W. E. B. Du Bois Research Institute. It supports scholars conducting research across the interdisciplinary field of African and African American Studies.

Well, for the 2027-2028 academic year, the program will invite up to 20 scholars to be in residence at Harvard.

Focus: Individual research in literature, creative writing, hip-hop, African and African American studies, art, Afro-Latin American research, design, education, and diaspora studies.

Support & Stipend: Research funds, office space, Harvard ID, email access, and full library access are all included in the average $75,000 stipend.
