The IAOMS Foundation 12-Month Fellowships 2027-2028 provide advanced international clinical training for early- to mid-career oral and maxillofacial surgeons seeking to strengthen their specialist knowledge and surgical experience.

Well organised by the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) Foundation, the programme offers training in cleft lip, palate and craniofacial surgery or oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. Fellows spend a year at selected specialist institutions in India or China and receive a US$25,000 stipend to support their training experience.
About IAOMS Foundation 12-Month Fellowships
The IAOMS Foundation 12-Month Fellowship programme aims to improve specialist surgical care by giving qualified oral and maxillofacial surgeons access to advanced clinical training and experienced mentors.
The programme is intended for surgeons who have completed their basic oral and maxillofacial surgery training and want to develop further expertise in a specific area. Participants gain experience in complex clinical cases and learn from specialists working in established surgical centres.
The fellowship has two tracks. The first focuses on cleft lip, palate and craniofacial surgery, while the second concentrates on oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. Beyond individual professional development, the programme encourages fellows to share their knowledge with colleagues and trainees after returning to their home institutions.
