The WAC-SRT/DAAD Scholarships are available for two distinct programs:

  1. MPhil in Development Management: This two-year, full-time program is designed to produce skilled professionals capable of managing development projects and initiatives effectively.   2. PhD in Planning for Sustainable Development: This four-year, full-time doctoral program aims to nurture high-level researchers and policymakers.   • Prospective Candidates must posses a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant field
  • The undergraduate degree must have been obtained within the last six years
  • Candidates must have up to Two (2) years of work experience in a related field
  • Submission of academic transcripts, certificates, CV, research proposal, and a motivation letter

Applicants for PhD program must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold an MPhil, MSc, or MA in a relevant field
  • The second degree should have been obtained within the last six years (for DAAD applicants)
  • Candidates should have a minimum of two years of research experience
  • Submit academic transcripts, certificates, CV, a comprehensive research proposal, and a motivation letter

How to Apply for WAC-SRT/DAAD Scholarships

The application process varies slightly depending on the applicant’s nationality:

  • DAAD Scholarship applicants are required to email scanned copies of their application documents. Foreign applicants should send their application documents via express mail to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ghanaian applicants have a different procedure. They must use the UBIDS Online Admissions Portal and pay a non-refundable application fee of GH¢180.00. This fee can be paid at designated banks or through mobile money services, making the process accessible to applicants across the country.
