The fellowship focuses on two main pillars: VV Venture (social entrepreneurship) and VV Engage (public leadership), while also promoting cross-sector synergies to drive systemic change.
Program Benefits
Participants in the VVGF 2025 will receive:
- Leadership Training: Engage in the Vital Voices Leadership Journey to develop and refine leadership skills.

- Cross-Pillar Collaboration Opportunities: Build partnerships with public leaders, social entrepreneurs, changemakers, and civil society leaders to drive systemic change and innovative solutions.
- Access to the Vital Voices Community Hub: Join a global network of thousands of changemakers for mentorship, peer learning, and strategic connections to amplify impact and support growth.
- In-Person Convening: Attend a gathering in the third quarter of 2025 (location to be confirmed) to deepen learning, build relationships, and collaborate.
- Certificate of Completion: Earn recognition upon completing the program.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the VVGF 2025, applicants must:
- Identify as a woman.
- Be proficient in English, as all sessions will be conducted in English.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, entrepreneurship, or public service.
- Be willing to fully participate in the fellowship and actively engage with diverse women leaders across sectors.
- Meet all specific pillar (VV Engage or VV Venture) eligibility criteria.
Application Process
Interested candidates should follow these steps:
- Review Eligibility Requirements: Ensure you meet the general criteria and the specific requirements for your chosen pillar (VV Engage or VV Venture).
- Prepare Application Materials: Gather necessary documents and information that demonstrate your qualifications and commitment to the program.
- Complete the Online Application: Fill out the application form available at Vital Voices Global Fellowship 2025 Application.
- Submit Application by Deadline: Applications are due by April 15, 2025. Early submissions are encouraged.
- Participate in Follow-Up: Applicants may be invited for a follow-up call to answer any clarifying questions.
- Await Notification: All applicants will be notified about final decisions by May 2025.

Program Expectations
Fellows are expected to:
- Attend all virtual trainings from June 2025 to March 2026, typically 60-90 minutes each, held between 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM US EST, with 2-3 sessions per month.
- Engage in additional community gatherings, peer exchanges, and program staff check-ins as required.
- Dedicate an average of 4-6 hours per month to program participation
- Attend the in-person convening in the third quarter of 2025 (exact location and dates to be confirmed).
- Complete mid and post-program impact surveys up to three years after the fellowship.
Cost of Participation
All costs associated with the program, including travel, lodging, and meals for the in-person convening, are fully covered by Vital Voices.
