  • Brandeis University — The Heller School for Social Policy and Management:
    • Master of Arts in Global Sustainability Policy and Management
    • Master in Global Health Policy and Management
  • Columbia University — School of International and Public Affairs:
    • Master of Public Administration

  • Erasmus University — Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS):

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the JJ/WBGSP, applicants must:

• Nationality: Be a national of a World Bank member developing country.​
• Dual Citizenship: Do not hold dual citizenship of any developed country.​
• Employment: Be employed in development-related work in a paid full-time position at the time of submitting the scholarship application.
• Professional Experience: Have at least 3 years of paid development-related employment within the past 6 years since earning a bachelor’s degree.​
• Academic Admission: Have been unconditionally admitted (except for financing) to one of the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s programs outside of the applicant’s country of citizenship and residence.​
• World Bank Group Affiliation: Not be an Executive Director, their alternate, or staff of any appointment of the World Bank Group, nor a close relative of the aforementioned.​

Scholarship Benefits

The JJ/WBGSP scholarship provides recipients with:

• Tuition Coverage: Full tuition for the graduate program.​
• Living Stipend: A monthly subsistence allowance to cover living expenses, including accommodations and food.​
• Travel Expenses: Economy class air travel between the home country and the host university at the start and end of the study program, along with a travel allowance for each trip.
• Health Insurance: Basic medical insurance obtained through the university.​

The scholarship covers the duration of the graduate program or two years, whichever is less.

1. Secure Admission: Apply and gain unconditional admission (except for financing) to one of the participating master’s programs.​
