The Rehoboth Foundation Scholarship now accepts applications from students in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. In addition, the Foundation has launched a new initiative to reach out to various institutions in the country, partnering with them to identify and support deserving, needy students.

Scholarship Benefits

The Rehoboth Dream Solid Foundation seeks to:

  • Improve the social and economic well-being of the less privileged through sustainable education, mentoring, and skills acquisition.
  • Empower the underprivileged to acquire skills for personal and economic growth, contributing to Nigeria’s and Africa’s development.
  • Assist indigent individuals to improve their earning potential through skills acquisition and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Support charities, schools, and colleges to help disadvantaged children attend school, without making parents reliant on charity.
  • Provide emergency aid, educational resources, and clothing to poor families in villages, refugee camps, and orphanages.
  • Sponsor poor children in school and provide financial assistance, clothing, and stationery.
  • Distribute vocational and medical materials to promote personal and social development among disadvantaged individuals.
  • Advocate for skills acquisition among young people and professionals, promoting a balanced approach between formal education and vocational training.

The Foundation aims to:

  • Provide vocational and medical training in areas of need
  • Promote various skills necessary for national and international development
  • Secure the services of teachers, trainers, and other staff to achieve its objectives
  • Advocate for government support for skills acquisition and vocational training
  • Organize seminars, workshops, and skills-building sessions to promote its objectives
  • Provide charitable aid to individuals or organizations deemed worthy.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen
  • Be enrolled full-time in a first-degree program at a public tertiary institution (university, polytechnic, or college of education)
  • Possess a minimum academic achievement of second-class upper division or its equivalent
  • The Rehoboth Dream Solid Foundation may consider exceptional requests for financial support on a case-by-case basis, such as emergency funding for school projects.

Skill Development and Apprenticeship Program

To be considered for sponsorship or scholarship, applicants must provide:

  • Document showing verification of participation in a reputable apprenticeship training program
  • Documentation of their financial status
  • Evidence of their commitment to excellence in the program
  • A letter from a religious leader (church or mosque) attesting to their character and behavior
  • Two letters of reference from reputable sources, including:
  • Management staff of a reputable organization
  • Local government chairman
  • Senior public servant at level 12 or higher

Selection Process

To be considered for sponsorship or scholarship from the Rehoboth Dream Solid Foundation, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Existing students must provide a letter from their institution confirming their attendance and academic performance.
  • New students must provide a letter of admission from a public university (private universities are not eligible).
  • The application will be reviewed, and the following information will be verified:
  • Admission status
  • Financial status
  • Commitment to academic excellence

  • If you are an existing student, you will need to submit a letter of recommendation from your institution, which confirms your attendance and academic performance.
  • If you are a new student, you must submit an admission letter from a public university. Note that private universities are not eligible.
