The Ireland Fellows Programme for the 2025-26 academic year is now open for applications, offering an exceptional opportunity for early to mid-career professionals from eligible countries to pursue a fully funded master’s degree in Ireland.

This prestigious program aims to nurture future leaders, build in-country capacity to achieve national Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and foster positive relationships with Ireland.

Program Overview

The Ireland Fellows Programme provides selected candidates with a chance to undertake a one-year master’s level program at a higher education institution in Ireland. The program, which runs for 10 to 16 months depending on the chosen course, begins in August or September each year.

The Ireland Fellows Programme is committed to promoting gender equality, equal opportunity, and diversity. The program encourages applications from individuals with disabilities and those belonging to minority or disadvantaged groups.

Fields of Study:

The Ireland Fellows Programme offers a wide range of eligible courses across various disciplines, including agriculture, health, education, human rights, computer science, engineering, business, and many more. Eligible Programmes is also available for applicants to choose from.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Ireland Fellows Programme, applicants must meet the requirements below:

  • Applicants must 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Have obtained a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Not already hold a master’s degree or higher qualification
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to SDGs
  • Select three eligible programs from the provided directory
  • Must fufil the conditions for the academic and English language proficiency requirements
  • Be available to start the program in the 2025/2026 academic year

Application Process for Ireland Fellows Programme 2025/2026 

The application process consists of three stages:

  1. Preliminary Application
  2. Detailed Application
  3. Interviews
  • Applicants who progress beyond the second stage will be required to take an online Duolingo English Test.
  • Those shortlisted after interviews must take an IELTS exam or provide a recent IELTS certificate (2023 or later) meeting the required scores for their chosen programs.

Application Deadline
