Experience 17 is back on TBS. As a result of covid19, the Experience was unable to hold its concert physically in 2020 and 2021 but virtually due to restrictions brought about due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, there’s a great turnaround, and “The Experience” is back with so much excitement from people.
The Experience is commonly known as – The Experience Lagos, an annual free gospel music concert held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos Island, Nigeria. This year’s concert, which is the 17th edition, will take place on the 2nd of December.
About Experience Gospel Concert
The Experience is an all-night gospel music concert hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Senior Pastor of House On The Rock, Lagos, Nigeria. The inception of this event started on 1st December 2006 with an attendance of about 40,000 people and has since grown massively to hundreds of thousands of worshippers, making it one of the largest Gospel concerts in the world.
A lot of people look up to this event, both Christians and non-Christians, and it always has an annual attendance of over 500,000 people at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria with several other people watching online from all over the globe, creating a digital footprint in all 7 continents of the world.
The Experience was birthed by a God-inspired vision. The aim is to provide a platform where people can raise their hearts, hands, and voices together as one in unfettered praise to the Almighty irrespective of tribe, denomination, creed, or language.
Convener of the Experience Music Concert
Paul Adefarasin is the convener of “The Experience” – one of the largest annual musical events in Africa. He is also the immediate past Deputy National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) – the umbrella body for charismatic word of faith and Pentecostal churches in Nigeria, and a life member of its National Advisory Council.
Paul Adefarasin is the Founder and Metropolitan Senior Pastor of the House On The Rock, a multiracial, multi-tribal, and multifaceted Church with several daughter Churches and ministries throughout Africa and Europe.
He is the Founder and President of The Rock Foundation, a charity committed to social reformation, education, provision of healthcare, and relief work within Nigeria.
When is Experience 2022
The Experience has always been held every first Friday in December and this year’s edition falls on the 2nd of December, 2022. The event will start from 7: 00 PM (WAT) till dawn.

The theme for this year’s Experience which is the 17th edition has been revealed as “JESUS The Exceptional One”.
