• Must be an international student.
• Must possess an overseas qualification at the time of application or be an offshore applicant with an Australian qualification who has not applied through VTAC.
• Must be commencing studies at a Monash University campus in Australia.
• Must enrol in one of the eligible pharmacy or pharmaceutical science programs.

Undergraduate Programs

• Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (P2001)
• Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science Advanced (Honours) (P3002)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) (P3001)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)/Master of Pharmacy (P6001)

Postgraduate Programs

• Master of Pharmaceutical Science (P6005)
• Master of Global Medicines Development (P6006)

Ineligible Applicants

The following students are not eligible:

• Students undertaking the Graduate Entry Pharmacy pathway under P6001.
• Students commencing the Master of Pharmaceutical Science (P6005) at Entry Level 2 or Entry Level 3.

Scholarship Benefits

The Monash University Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science International Merit Scholarship provides substantial tuition fee assistance based on academic merit.

First-Ranked Students

The highest-achieving student in each of the four eligible course groups will receive:

• 50% of tuition fees are paid each year.
• Funding continues until the minimum credit points required for the degree are completed.

Second-Ranked Students

The second-highest-achieving student in each course group will receive:

• 25% of tuition fees are paid each year.
• Funding continues until the minimum credit points required for the degree are completed.

Total Scholarship Value

The scholarship is valued at up to AUD $100,000 depending on the course duration and tuition fee structure.

Number of Scholarships Available

A total of eight scholarships are awarded annually.

Is This Scholarship Fully Funded or Partially Funded?

The Monash University Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science International Merit Scholarship is partially funded.

It does not provide:

• Full tuition coverage
• Monthly living stipend
• Accommodation allowance
• Travel expenses
• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

Instead, it covers either 25% or 50% of tuition fees, depending on the recipient’s academic ranking among applicants.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based entirely on academic excellence.

The scholarship is awarded to:

• The highest-achieving students in each eligible course group.
• Students with exceptional academic records during previous studies.
