Overview of the Bakar Postdoctoral Fellows Program 2027

The programme focuses on research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural sciences. Its goal is to accelerate scientific discovery and develop materials and technologies that address planetary challenges.

It also welcomes applicants from two broad research backgrounds. The first includes researchers with strong quantitative training in artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, or data science who want to apply computational methods to physical science problems. The second includes researchers trained in chemistry, physics, biological sciences, or materials science who want to integrate AI and machine learning into their research.
