The scholarship must be applied for at the same time as the Berkeley Haas Global Access Program. UC Berkeley states that there are no exceptions to this requirement.

What Is the UC Berkeley Extension Visiting Student Scholarship?

The scholarship is financial support for students applying to the Berkeley Haas Global Access Program, a visiting-student program that allows qualified students to study at UC Berkeley and take courses connected to the Haas School of Business and the wider university.

The program is designed for students from both business and non-business backgrounds who want to develop their knowledge, skills and professional networks in the Berkeley and Silicon Valley environment.

For Spring 2027, the program runs from January 12 to May 14, 2027.

Scholarship Amount

Successful applicants can receive up to $5,000 in scholarship funding.

The scholarship is applied toward the $22,324 Spring 2027 program cost.

The scholarship does not cover all expenses. UC Berkeley’s current cost information states that the program cost does not include expenses such as travel to and from the United States, textbooks and course materials, visa fees, meals or living expenses. Living expenses are estimated at approximately $12,000 per semester.

Students should therefore plan for additional funding even if they receive the maximum scholarship.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the current scholarship eligibility requirements.
